Adoption Procedure

All of our little stars go to their new homes with up to date vaccinations, spayed or neutered. My contract provides a one year genetic health guarantee,  vet certificate and also some important considerations.for the cat/kitten for it's lifelong well-being.  Please feel free to email me for a copy of the contract. We also provide a  pedigree, special toy and a sample bag of food to start you off right!

Sphynx are a relatively expensive cat.  The costs associated with proper nutrition, vet care, health testing, outcrossing, and showing all are reflected in the price.  Don't be fooled into a 'bargain' because really you end up with what you pay for.  There are numerous ethical and wonderful Sphynx breeders available, but sadly there have also popped up some that care more about their own pocket-book than the welfare of the kittens/cats and their potential owners.  Be very careful and wary if you see bargain prices; or the opposite - too high prices alleging top-show etc., offering too-young kittens, and no contracts or health guarantee.  All good breeders provide contracts which protect you and the cats welfare both and are happy to discuss with you the progress of the cat for years to come.
 

I have one price for all kittens, $1000. Cdn in Canada or $1000. US  for American or Overseas clients.  The kittens are available on a first come basis. 
 
Important Information About Buying Kittens From Sunberry Sphynx

  • Before leaving Sunberry Cattery all kittens are spayed or neutered.      (NO EXCEPTIONS)

  • I do not sell show - breeding kittens so please do not ask. But on occasion I will sell a show prospect that can be shown in the Household cat class.

  • Kittens can be shipped throughout the U.S. and Canada via air to major hubs. New owners may also arrange to pick up kittens at my house. Keep in mind shipping via air cargo is difficult if not impossible in the coldest and hottest times of the year. Shipping costs within North America are between $120-$200 and if shipping is involved this fee as well as the shipping crate -about $30. are added to the cost. 

  • All kittens are kept at Sunberry Cattery  until 14 to 18  weeks of age. All kittens sold by Sunberry Cattery have a health guarantee.

  • All kittens sold by Sunberry Cattery have all their kitten immunizations prior to going to their new families.

  • All kittens sold by Sunberry Cattery are sold subject to my standard contract.  

All kittens are registered TICA    Occasionally I may also have some young retired adults available and prices vary depending on circumstances.  Check back on the adoption  page for any details.  I do not take deposits until a litter is born, then it is $200 that is fully refundable up until the kitten reaches 8 weeks of age.  If at any time before that you change your mind the deposit is returned. 

If after doing your research and you have decided that you would like one of my Sunberry Sphynx I will send or email you a copy of my adoption agreement which you must sign -, keep a copy and enclose a $200.00  deposit to reserve the kitten. The balance is due at or before the time of delivery or pickup.
